ozark moutain rides

I have a trip to Branson coming up in June. Can anyone put me on some roads that I need/should ride? Im planning on doing the riding in the northern area of Arkansas just south of Branson. I will go wherever is best to ride though.

Arkansas May 2013

That's my trip report from two years ago. It's a little further south than the AR/MO line, most of it near I-40, but only because we didn't have more time to keep going north. Lots of good riding out there.

NW Ark. It's like fallin off a turnip truk, you couldn't miss any all the great roads if you tried.
Besides Google.maps for salvatory tease, contact www Arkansas state travel.org they will send you free maps and brochures of evry activity-site you like. There is more to see and do than to fill up a week of riding.
I have a riders book at office dedicated to Arkansas. Later I will post title, etc. Poncho

Ponch's comment reminded me about the printed brochures you can get for free. I have one...somewhere, but just requested a new one that has some dual sport routes in it. Start here:

And here:

Let's Ride Arkansas 2012 version in pdf

I could do without most of the commentary in this video, but it does show some good snippets of the riding:

AK is beautiful to ride thru! I have friends that live there and I've been there twice and they taken my wife and I so many places I couldn't list them all. If you take rt65 out of Branson down to Harrison and catch rt7 and follow that down to a restaurant called Cliff House Inn and IMO has great food and they have a back deck that over looks what they call the Grand Canyon of AK, it's a little ways past Jasper AK. There is also on rt7 an old amusement park thats been closed down for many many years that I think is call Dogwood, it's really cool to see! From the restaurant you can make your way back up to a place called War Eagle Mill, it's another cool place to visit and thats not to far from Eureka Springs which is a must stop and shop place if your in AK. If you use Google map and map it out it's over 200 miles trip all day ride if you stop and smell the roses. I promise you, you will not be disappointed! Have a safe trip!

We travel to Eureka Springs every year for the past 10 years. We tavel with a group of Mustangs from all over the US. Legend lime registry, we love driving the roads there, just south of Eureka Springs is the pigs tail, its about an hour out of Eureka. While in Eureka hit up the BBQ joint, called the rocking pig. There is a HD shop with maps for all of the day rides out of town. I plan on taking the Vulcan there in may for the car show and getting some riding in.
