Whirring is back

Following forum suggestions, I had the belt loosened (~10k miles) and the whirring sound went away for about 2-3 thousand miles. It's been coming back a bit but yesterday it was really noticeable. Besides loosening more, any suggestions...?

Um... how about removing those baseball cards in your spokes?

Seriously, I don't see how the belt could re-tighten itself. Must be something else.

I had a Dunlop cruisemax front tire for a while that would whir when cold and whistle when hot.

Does it happen at all speeds, gears etc.?

Scott - Thanks for the reply. It does at speeds about 15mph. Intend on taking it in this afternoon to the shop to get them to figure it out. We'll see....

Ha - too funny! :-) I'm perplexed enough to drop it off at the shop later this afternoon. We'll see what they say.

Picked it up on Friday and put ~200 miles on it this weekend it ran like I expect - no abnormal noises. I don't remember the specifics but the tech loosened it and adjusted deflection, etc. Bottom line, the belt was too tight...
