Question New Aftermarket Brake Cables

Feel kind of bad that I not that knowledgeable enough to comment to much, but I do have a question for you fine folks here.

So I have a 2005 vulcan vn500.
Brake Cable started leaking yesterday, and looking at partzilla a new oem cable is going to set me back like 70 bucks so, or I figured hey why not replace them with some stainless steel cables.

For those in the know and have done the mod is there any recommendations on what stainless steel to get and more importantly what length?Don't want to take off the cable just yet to measure. I've got a ton of stuff I'm currently working on my bike.

Are you referring to the brake hose on the front brake? If so I had a SS hose made a few years ago for Hidalgo that I never installed. PM me if you are interested in it.

Dammit! Thanks for the offer though, wish I got back to you sooner. Already ordered one so one less thing to do before I can get her back on the road.
