HD Road Glide Fairing?

Anyone know if there is a way to make this fit on my 900 Custom? If do-able is $800 reasonably for the fairing with all the guages/speakers in it?

There is someone on this site that used a Harley fairing, maybe in bike of the month ?? I also have been looking for a batwing style but dont like the Memphis shades model, covers to much headlight. try this model ...

http://www.tsukayu.com/QuickDetachableFairing.html

and this one

http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/de...s&model_id=126

$800 for a HD model seems a good price, not sure that the gauge pkg would be compatable.

These are avail with various goodies or plain. Good luck on your chioce and let me know what your choice was... with pics... cheers Maurice

Just to make things clear. CDNVulcanGuy is asking about the Road Glide fairing which is not the batwing fairing. It is the frame mounted fairing.

Maybe I will just slide by the dealership and see if one of their guys could fabricate some kind of way to make it work.

There is one on Craigslist.

Thanks for the suggestions though. I remember not liking Doughrek's bike when he put the batwing and hard bags on and not I want a Road Glide...ha ha ha, funny how our tastes can change.

If you can live without the built-in speakers, etc...go with the Memphis Shades Batwing fairing (around $350-$400 installed with quick release brackets). This is route I am going...they look great on the 900 Custom and you can always add speakers (such as the Kuryakyn Sound of Chrome) and an iPod. Keep in mind, you may want to switch to a larger headlight; you can see in the pictures below, the 900 Custom headlight is a bit small...just depends on your taste. Best part, because it's installed with trigger lock quick releases, you can take it off anytime you want.

Here's a picture of the fairing on a black 900 Custom.

canman, here is a pic of my v2k w/hd fairing. I have installed this on 3 jap bikes. I move it to my newest one b4 selling the old scooters. it is doable if you have any craft skills. as far as instruments, not compatible. I blank them off. if anybody questions, its my bike, I can do what I want, tell them to take a hike. besides I already have a electraglide w/all the gizmos. oh, $8c aint too terrible. I paid 5, 6w/paint. w/o the gismos.

I also have that mempis batwing on my Guzzi. smaller but nice on a smaller bike. see other bike models.

only consider injection molded fairings, lexan or other poly. stay clear of fiberglass fairings. they are heavy and their fitments are poor and inconsistant. they are heavy! out, ponch

I'm not so sure that it is that easy. Not that I know the details, but here is what my impression is. Harley has a reverse triple tree (I think). The forks are widely spaced (I think they are wider than the VN900). These two things could make it very difficult to mount the Road Glide fairing to the Vulcan frame. Just some items to consider.
