I understand. The answer might be to buy a VERY cheap bike. Many can be had for under a thousand dollars....there have been times when I had to get back on my feet....and had to let one go....and buy another. As long as it has two wheels, and the country road with no traffic still exists, your golden. Once, I owned a 550 Suzuki that had no second gear...and it still put a smile on my face. I bought it for 400 dollars and rode it for two years.
