Throttle Cable Kink

So I replaced my grips twice now as I ruined my ISO Grips unfortunately. In doing this I have gotten a kink in my top throttle line. The bike is running great with no issues. What should I do? Replace the cable? Any long term issues with this?

Get the new cable ordered. The kink is a weak spot in the cable. From my experience having just replaced my grips, I'm guessing the kink is near the cable end. Depending on how close to the end it is, you may find that it starts binding so the throttle doesn't return all the way. But at some point the individual strands will start breaking. This will cause binding and on the top cable, when if finally snaps you can't roll up on the throttle it will simply remain at idle.
