900 LT Long Trip

Well its finally here...In less than 2 weeks I'm leaving for Glacier Nat Park. from FW Texas. Thanks for all the info I've gathered on this forum. Latest mod was the Cobra fuel processor, 80 times per sec model, plus the Cobra intake. Great improvement, totally smoothed out the vibrations at high speeds, very smooth.. best mod ever.. Put on new rubber this past weekend. The 900 LT is not just for light touring.. I will post when I get back and let you know how it went. 10 days there and back, I hope we can get er done..Remember it's not just the destination but the journey getting there..

Crutch,

The 9' will do great. I left Killeen, TX 2 days ago. Did 826 miles in 2 days with zero issues. Resting a couple days in Colorado Springs then it's off to Idaho Falls. I will NOT be utilizing I-15 ) 26 through the Teton pass should be a nice ride. Be safe!

Sounds like you have a great trip ahead. And not to worry about how the 900 will do. Just ask my wife. She'd tell you that it's not just a runabout or for light touring. We no longer have the LT, but it was a great bike when we did. It'll be HOT!!!, so dont' forget to keep yourself well-hydrated along the way.

The air intake was what fixed the vibrations at high speeds?

Hey I've done plenty of long trips on my 900! It's a great bike for it. Wife and I have enjoyed it very much.

Yes, the Teton pass is a great ride, so are you going into or out of Jackson? Ride safe!
