Baron Tach Flutter

Just a simple question about the Baron Tach. I installed mine some months ago, and have for some time noticed that when I am riding at a constant speed and the RPM is about 3700, the tach fluters betwqeen 3700 and 3800 or so all the time, If the RPM is outside of the narrow band, IE, above 3900, or below 3700, the tach is rock solid. Anyone ele have a similar experience with this unit? I think it has always done this.
