Scootworks Front Pulley

Hi guys. I've been reading in this forum about possible issues with the SW front pulley. I have one. It was ordered late November and I recieved it late January. But now I'm having second thoughts. If by some slight chance I have a problem with this, I'm sure it will void my 2 yr warrentee.
My bike's an 09 900LT that was purchaced in Sept. So I want to sell it to someone braver than I.
I paid $189.00 from SW and I'd like to get $110.00 including shipping in the USA.
I'll be doing a trip to San Diego from Albuquerque in May and thought it was a good idea. I'll live with the gas milage and the higher RPM that's stock on this bike. Who knows, the bike may be happier left stock.
If you're interested in the pulley (new and in the box) e-mail me at

Thanks guys. This is a great site.

SC pulley

I'm not even trying. They STILL have not credited my charge card for the $300.00 on the rear pulley. Originally, I ordered both. A couple of weeks later, I canceled the rear. I've been e-mailin' 'em, but my account doesn't show the credit. So I'm not going to try to send it back.

i can't speak for the rear pulley but i LOVE my front pulley......the bike should have had this pulley on it from the factory.......i'd be willing to bet that if you installed it you wouldn't regret it....

That may be so but something tells me not to. Maybe it's the run-a-round I got as to when I would recieve it. I don't know. Just bad vibes.

Scootworks overdrive pulley, YES!

My first take on the Scootworks over drive pulley for the VN900.

I installed the pulley this afternoon, took about 1.5 hours taking my time.

My first drive taking off from my house in first gear I could tell no
difference at all. I almost wanted to go back and make sure I didn't
put the stock pulley back on by mistake. lol

I have to drive about 5 miles in a 25 mph zone to get out to the freeway
from my house. I have no tach but I do have a GPS mounted.

According to the GPS it was reading 25mph and the bike speedo 27.
Normally its about 3 mph off, now only 2mph, no big deal I though and
I still could not tell any difference in the gears.

I hit the on ramp to the freeway and a semi is coming so I floor it
and get up to 70 mph on the bike speedo, The GPS reads 68 mph.

I think that is cool, only 2 mph off when before it was 7 mph off at 70.

But it sounds and feels the same, engine rpm still sounds like its
working hard.

I make sure I am in 5th gear and would you believe it, I'm still in 4th.

I kick it up to 5th and how sweet it is, I'm cruising at 70 mph and the
engine sounds like its taking a break.

The Scootworks pulley definitely get two thumbs up from me.

Sweet, thanks for the review.

I have mine on order (along with a belt drive kit for my wife's 750 Spirit) but have been told they're running about two weeks behind schedule, so i have to wait.

I'm really anxious because not only am i putting the pulley on, but i'm also going to the dark side at the same time. Can't wait to try them both out.

How was the tire clearance at the splash guard with the new pulley?
