seat for a vn900b

I would like to hear from owners that have aftermarket seat all brands and what you think of them.

From comfort on long rides to seat height over stock and passenger comfort

thanks sevans

Hi Sevans
I have a Mustang seat and also just bought a Saddlemen Solo Seat. The Mustang is a much better quality and I find it more comfortable than the Saddlemen, but the Saddlemen Solo looks much better.

After many hours of research and deliberation, I chose the Mustang and couldn't be happier! It has the comfort and quality I anticipated.

I got a Corbin because it has a removeable backrest (optional) that can be used in either the rider or passenger position. This means I don't have to have a sissy bar permanently mounted to the bike. It's got memory foam, so it's a firm but very comfy seat. Plus, they have a wide choice of cover options. Plus plus, their customer service is GREAT! (but I think a lot of MC accessory companies have really good customer service).

Expensive? Yes.
Regrets? None.

My biggest fear is when I die, my wife will sell all my guitars for what I told her I paid for them.

I had a Saddlemen and sold it. It was better than OEM, but not quite there. I then invested in a Russell Day-Long. This seat is custom fitted to you and your caboose and has a built in suspension spring. I've done a couple of 8 hour plus days on it and at the end, it was like getting out of a Lazy Boy. I'm sure there are some good quality seats out there (I was also seriouly considering the Mustang, Ultimate and Meyers seats), but opted for the Russell. It was pricey, but worth every penny in my book.

I purchased the Mustang studded wide touring seat and it is a very comfortable seat. I could not be happier with my decision.

I love my Mustang studded, wide touring seat. First thing I did after I got her home was order the seat from Dennis Kirk. Have done a couple 400 mile days with no problem with the seat. Wish I had ponied up the extra $$$ for the driver backrest.

Aftermarket Seat for VN900

Hi sevans, I bought the KAWI gel seat, wife loves it, deeper seat for me which is alright, good support for low back. No complaints from wife on 2400 mile trip last year. We still stop at 90-120 miles for breaks, but makes longer days possible. Happy New Year!
