VN900 Air Filter

I need to replace my air filter and I've looked at K&N, they are not making a filter for the 900. I've been told the VN2000 uses the same filter as the VN900. Anyone know if this is true? If so, K&N makes a filter for the VN2000 and do you know if it will work on the VN900? Thanks for any info.

EchoTech, this is the first time I've heard anyone say they were the same, I've heard people say they were similar.

I went to Babbits online to get the following info.

Compared 2007 Vulcan 900 and 2000 Classic. Things in (__) are for 2000's. This program doesn't allow extra spaces for some reason.

Filter Element 900 (2000)
Tag: 11013 (11013)
SKU: 11013-0015 (11013-0002)
Price: $26.62 ($20.96)

Filter Seal
Tag: 92093A (92093A)
SKU: 92093A-0057 (92093A-0005)
Price: $7.11 ($3.02)

It looks like they are different to me, I doubt Kawasaki would assign different SKU numbers and prices if they were the same.

I have posted this before. But you are new here. They are completely different. I thought the same thing. I went to the dealer and had them pull out one of each filter. It won't work.

you probably could make it work but that would require the VN2000's air cleaner assembly as well.

And this ladies and gents is why i am making a complete new air box, or rather have made a new one i'm just waiting to get it back from anodising and then i'll mount it. This should happen next week.
the airbox will be using an air filter designed for a weber carb.
The airbox on the vn900 must be the dumbest design i have ever had the misfortune of seeing
