Hyperlites installed

Hi, just thought I would share for those that like people to be able to see them at night.

I installed some hyperlites today. It was a fairly easy install. I made a little bracket out of aluminum with tin snips to go behind the reflector under the license plate lamp. The wiring is right under the chrome cap. I just tapped into the harness that drops down from the rear brake light.. anyway, here's a pic.. pretty bright.

off

on/running

with brakes (lights flash for 5 seconds, then go solid)

I ordered them from www.hyperlites.com, super easy install. They are a little pricey as lights go, but good quality and bright.

The wiring harness from the tail light is right under the chrome cap above the license plate. There is plenty of wire to mount them wherever. I just wanted to keep it simple.. so I used some tin snips and a piece of 20 gauge aluminum to make a bracket to go behind the reflector.

It has definitely helped the tailgate factor so far.. When I hover the brake lever, people have seemed to back off more than usual.
