Stock light question

Ok, the rear marker/turn signal lights.....are they supposed to be on all the time like the front ones are? I noticed the other morning that they aren't, but the front ones are always on. Makes sense to me, but I don't know.

If they are Amber colored they are turn only. Most state laws require that stop / brake lights be red colored only.

Bear2123 is correct, they are off. They only blink for turn signals. No running lights in the rear.

I think the rear uses a 1156 bulb and the front uses 1157's. The 1156 are single element bulbs while the 1157's are dual elements. The 1157 is also use in the brake light. You can not mix them up because of the pin positions on the bases. Only two wires got to the rear turn signals.
