change fluids or not?

I bought my 06 with 1600 miles on it eh, about 5 months ago. It now has 4200 miles so I need to bring it in for an oil change (had one the week I bought it) but what about the other fluids.
This was a low mileage "sitter" which now has 7 year old anti-freeze and brake fluid... now modern fluids aren't like "back in the day" but something tells me change em out?

tires OME, brand new condition... purchased in a ladies name brand new in 2006 (so said the title) just never ridden or one bike week and out... in my area that happens

advice all knowing ones?

Thanks!!!

I believe brake fluid needs to be changed over time and not by distance travelled. To me I change clutch and brake fluid every 2 years, also the rad fluid gets changed every year or 2 but normally I've been changing rad fluid yearly.

+1 on the change time based not distance. Brake fluid gains moisture over time and coolant has its anti corrosion properties consumed over time. Good to change them out regularly and know everything is great! It also prevents system failures later. Enjoy and ride Safe.

Change the tires too. 7 years is too long.

The Owner's Manual gives the time/mileage fluid change intervals.

You can download Owner's Manuals for free from the Kawasaki website.

Fluids, other than engine oil, are typically every 2 or 3 years (assuming you don't hit the miles recommendations first). In your case it's certain you're well past the time recommendations for all the fluids regardless of the low miles.

Owner's manual says to change the brake fluid every 2 years or 15k miles and change the coolant and radiator hoses every 3 years or 24k miles. It also says to replace fuel hoses, brake hoses, and rubber parts of master cylinder every 4 years or 30k miles.

My bike wasn't prepped until late 2010 so I plan on changing my brake fluid during my next oil change, later this month or maybe next month but can wait a little while for the rest of it.
