Kawasaki freeway bars and Cobra's radiator cover

For the life of me, I can not reinstall Kawasaki's freeway bars after installing Cobra's radiator cover. They just don't seem to fit together. I'm contemplating cutting part of the cover away so I can get the bars back on but don't even know if that will work. The Radiator cover is wider than stock. Anyboy have those two items installed?

Riding taught me why dogs stick their heads out the window of a fast moving car!
