Pulley swap questions

Thinking of putting the baron pulleys on my 900 custom next winter season. My question is what tooth size did you use and what is the best setup for higher end. Wanting that “6th gear” feeling.

Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.

Search "pulley" on 900's "pulls" up a lot. This will answer any of your questions.

Obviously doing both the front and back will give you the most benefit in lowering rpm on hwy.

Were you able to reuse the oem belt or did you have to go bigger?
Also, is it good practice to match a new belt to a new pulley? because the new pulley has new sharp teeth and the belt would be worn

I used the same belt. You just have to adjust the back tire to get the right tension. I have had mine on for a year or two with no problems. I saw a big difference in performance on the road. You do have to remove the belt guide in the front or it will rub. Doing the pulleys doesn't make up for the sixth gear but it comes real close. I don't regret doing it or spending the money.

Good luck,
