Gas Gauge a non-issue

I have an 09 classic 900. My gas gauge is "spot on". It appears any irregularities must have been addressed for the new models. That being said, after the light does come on, typically, how many miles does one have left?

I have an 90 classic LT, still breaking it in. My light comes on with 1.3 gal left in tank. That leaves me about 60 miles til empty

The light usually signifies 1.3 gallons left.

You could be right on that. Haven't read much on the '09's. Mine is an '07.

I have an 09 Classic and the light comes on with about 1.5 gal left in the tank which leaves about 65-70 miles left to go.

I have an 08 900LT with the gas gauge fix. The needle is accurate now and the low fuel light glows with about a gallon left in the tank.

What does your gauge read when you have 130 miles on the trip?

rpeek2, I also have an '08 900LT. Did you perform the mod that's been discussed on the forum, or was it performed at the dealer? Thanks, Barry
