rear 900 shock and 800 shock

I bought a Progressive 465 1" lower shock and a friend wants to buy my stock shock (2010 900 Vulcan Classic) if it will fit his 2007 800.
Can anyone tell us if that will work?

I can't find a listing for a 09' vulcan 800. Best thing you could do it measure them if they are close unloaded and loaded it should fit. But that doesn't mean it will ride well. depends on the geometry of the rear suspention if it is the same in oth bikes. Then depends on the weight of the two bikes. It might be too stiff for him. I looked up older 800 and the last part of the number is different than the '10. If he's a friend have a garage night or afternoon and check things out. if you are swapping yours anyway he can help you do that then you guys and eye things up. Does the progressive should you bought list that it will fit both bikes than could be a clue.

2005 was the last year of the VN800. There was also a Drifter 800 in 2006, but that's it.

Is he sure he has an 800? It's definitely not an '09 (or at least not a Kawasaki) if he does.
