New 900 Classic Owner

Hi everybody. I've been on the forums for about a year in the 500 section but just purchased a 2009 Vulcan 900 Classic. Super stoked by the way. My girlfriend bought my 500 so a win win really : )

My question is the bike doesn't not have a sissy bar/luggage rack combo and that is a must have to me. And the best I can tell, by the time, you order everything separately through Kawasaki, you are upwards of $500, which is out of the question to me.

Anyone had any good luck with the ebay ones for around $100? I know you get what you pay for, but I just need the functionality and not so much the bling factor. I was looking at these two as possibilities.

Thanks in advance and looking forward to learning a ton and hopefully at some point sharing a ton in here. Peace!

First off welcome! You will love your new bike. Anyway your second link in this post is similar to one I bought when I owned my Honda Magna. Same seller I believe. I was very impressed with the overall quality, though I had to make some modifications to make it sit the way I wanted it to. Also in my opinion, (or my wife's) the bigger the pad, the better the sissy bar. Just a thought. Good luck!

I got the sissy bar, also OEM, from eBay. But I had to order the pad separately.

PM me if you have any questions.
