Kurayakan Triple Whammy

Short of waiting till Monday to call Kury, just installed the 4607 Run-Turn-Brake unit I bought for my 900 Classic. Indeed plug and play, 3 questions for those that have it.

1. Mentions to only connect load equalizer for bikes whose turn signal rates are different than stock flash rates? What does this mean? I tried it unplugged and it flashs faster than normal. With it conected slows down.

2. Why are there two purple connector instead of just one to hook the load equilizer up to? I tried both of them and they seem to both do the same?

3. It says to secure the load equalizer to the frame tube and not to the control module to avoid heat or pinch points? It is ok to tuck in right beside the controller and connections in front of the battery right next to each other? Without leaving them on for long periods how much heat will it produce?

Did you switch to L.E.D. bulbs? the reason the lights flash faster w/L.E.D. bulbs is because they draw less current to operate therefore the current can flow faster thru the wiring and load, thus the load equalizer,it places an artificial load in the circuit which slows the flash down to a normal rate,as far as mounting the eq.,someplace where air can move around it on all sides if possible would be best, also if your bike has a single indicator for the turn signal on the dash, you will need a diode to keep the current from backflowing across the indicator and making all the lights flash at the same time, hope this helps.

I had the same probem with my Goldwing flashing to fast, but I guess your flash rate is normal when you hook everything up, I would say you got it hooked up right

I replaced the factory flasher with a electronic flasher no need for load resistors and everything went back to normal

good luck

triple whammy

Thanks for the replies. No I don't have LED lights, the kit came with the clear lenses and the red bulbs. Everything works fine, only the left bulbs light with the indicator and the brake lights flash a few times and then stay on like they should.

I have the tripple whammy on my 09 classic and it works great.I have stock signal lights with clear lenses front and rear. I have the load equalizer installed because without it the signal lights flash too fast.
I can't answer what the 2nd purple connector is for.
I have the equalizer tucked in the slot on the front of the tool kit cover, fits perfectly.

Life is a journey, enjoy the ride.
