Confused with fuel processors

Sorry for being dumb, just don't wanna spend $500 if I don't need to. I did a search but didn't find any clear answers. Anyways, I want to put either some V&H slashcuts or Cobra swepts on my bike with a Big Air Kit. I'm assuming the cobra autotune is the best, but it's also $500. Are others just as good? I've also read people have problems with certain ones. What would you suggest with my setup? Which ones are easy to program, cause as you can see I'm not too knowledgeable with these things (maps, etc.). Should I just spend the extra money? I'm not gonna race or anything, just want my bike to run good and be able to pass inspection every year. Once again, sorry for the annoying post just looking for a little help. Thanx in advance!

From my perspective (which doesn't count for much), they all work. Most add fuel to keep the bike from running too lean, a few can remove if seeking perfection across the power band. If you plan to stick with one set up, just get a plug and play from Cobra, Dobek, or some other. Set it where they tell you and ride. If the bike does not feel just right, make slight adjustments untill you like it. I got the Cobra because I change out parts, and it automatically adjusts everything for me. I had a Dobek EJK before that (with one set up), and everything ran fine with factory settings. Some folks like the Power Commander. Ultimately, it's rider preference. Good luck with your decision
