Thumbs up Output shaft/tool design.Where the hell oil coming from

Well !!, I took out the left side cover ( timing inspection plate) in order to do my valve adjustments) I discovered oil on the primary drive pulley cover.Well , oil seal .Ordered the seal. Now all set to change seal, when I removed the plate ,no oil on pulley and the oilseal area. The only thing I could infer is the oil is coming from the electrical wire housing.I cleaned up the area and washed the drive belt ( soap and water, soft brush). No sense in changing the seal.

As I was there I designed a tool to which fit into pulley slots so that the force of breaking the nut is transferred to pulley/shaft axle.

CAN ANYONE ADD TO THIS??

The shots you took don't show enough for me to be sure but this looked a lot like my pulley cover when I pulled it off. I had an O ring leaking after the shop did my valve clearance inspection. Oil was dripping slowly out of the drain hole on the left side of the rear cylinder. It was hard to spot because it leaks very slowly and follows joints in the engine/transmission cases. One of the joints it was following was the pulley cover to the transmission. Since that's not a sealed joint, the oil collected behind the cover. Did you check that drain area for oil?
