Question VN900 Debaffle + Hypercharger.. PCV Map?

So I was going to buy the Fi2000R but now more leaning towards the PCV due to you can do more with it. So I need a map for debaffled pipes and a hypercharger..I live in Colorado..Mile high..so..anyone? I can't afford a dyno until next year will I be ok to get in running good within a few hours with no dyno and being new to a programmer? or should I just go with the Fi2000R until next year??? So confusinggg!!

You only need a dyno tune for the PC3 The PC5 will tune itself to your bike. You could just use any one of there Maps on there site.

I thought the PCV would only autotune if you had the O2 sensor? thats an extra $300 for the kit isnt it?

Ya I think your right, need the auto tune with it.Just assumed that came with the PC5

I have a map you can try for the PC3 don't know if it works in the PC5.

I have a new PC3 if you are interested in it. $200 shipped in US.The one on my bike went bad so Dyna jet sent me a new one.Plan to put back on soon if it don't sell.I ran my pipes with opened up box ,with out the PC3.It does run better with it , wasnt to lean but on the edge.

Mr clean has close to your set up & says that his bike is ok running with no fuel adjustment. If you do this check plugs when you get home

Damn Switch, you don't wait long for an answer, do you?

The PCV only tunes if you add the o2 sensor. I, personally, would get the power commander V (I did) because you can do a whole lot more with the tuning. The PCV allows you to connect to a computer and optimize tons of settings through the rev range. From what I understand, the FI2000 only gives you 3 settings to mess with. I have put about 150 miles on my bike since everything was installed with no tuning and no issues. The place that did my install loaded a 'pre-made map'. It back fires like a mo' fo' right now, but other than that, no ill effects. You will never make huge horsepower out of this bike, but what the PCV will allow you to do is to get a good, consistent power curve. An even power curve with no spikes or dips gives you the most rideability, and at 5280, you need all the help you can get.

As for the tune, if you search around here for people with your setup, a lot of times they are willing to share their tune with you, you just gotta ask.

Hope that helps you make a decision one way or the other and if you have any questions, hit me up.

-Brandon

I grabbed a fistful of throttle and all my worries disappeared.
