custom vs classic frames

Are they the same? I have a classic, I love it, but I'd like to ditch the floorboards. I really like the way the custom pegs feel (position and overall feel) and was wondering if they are a direct bolt on. I read this thread, but I just want a definitive answer. I'm thinking the custom pegs and some 12.5" apes would look and ride awesome.

Thanks for the help,
Brandon

I grabbed a fistful of throttle and all my worries disappeared.

The problem is that I am only 5'9'', and it would seem that moving them another 4" forward would be too much. I don't want my legs to be completely straight or have to reach for the controls...

but would you be able to cruise around town comfortably while manipulating the gear shift and brake?
