Goodbye, Washington

Well WA, it's been fun. I'm headed back down to AZ for sunnier skies and drier roads before I deploy.

Highlights of my rides here:
*Run2Seattle (my trip from PHX to SEA) in July.
*Seattle to Leavenworth. Made that a couple times. Nice to get out of the city.
*Seattle->Devil's Pass, back through Alrington. Neat ride if I had dressed for the cold.
*Attempted Olympic Loop. Day after Thanksgiving, was going to make a weekend of it. Rain completely defeated all my gear. I got as far as Port Angeles, and turned back to Bainbridge to come home. That was one miserable day.
*Olympia Toy Run 2012. That was a pretty amazing experience. More than 16,000 bikes, all with toys for children that might not otherwise get gifts. Decent weather too...for PNW anyway.

I rode pretty much every day, through rain many many times. I certainly learned a lot while here. Thanks for the memories!

Look out, AZ. This desert rat is coming home!

Any riding now would be nice here. Too cold although we've had no snow. Deploy? You in the Service? I Thank You! Stay Safe!

If memory serves, "Enjoy the Seattle Rain Festival - September through May!"

But I loved it just the same, beautiful country!
