One wheeled Canadian trailer

FlyingJLady and I were Hoquiam, near where she grew up, for a fund raising Pig roast and Salmon bake. Because of the late evening and rain we were in the cage, staying at a motel.

When we awoke Sunday morning there were 2 bikes, a Harley and a Nomad parked nearby. They each were hauling one-wheeled-trailers. In the motel office, while eating the complimentary breakfast, I had a chance to talk to the HD rider. He said the trailers were his design and he fabricated them both. He claimed the handled like a dream and the hitch, made from an automotive U-joint, allowed turning without tipping. These Canucks were from the Chillowack area of BC and were on their way home. They will follow the coast for a while before heading over the Cascade Range to drier riding.

I once hauled a 2 wheel, Harbor Freight type, trailer and found this approach very interesting, as did FJL. Hmm…

I took the following pictures for your interest.
