2013 October N.Y.C. / L.I. Almost over

Time for long under ware and leather jackets is here. We have a few more weeks of good riding be for you can put your gloved hands on the engine to warm them up ,and the street way looks better than the high way to go any ware. So when my nomad gets out of shop I will be trying to get 1000 more miles in this year. Anyone else? nomad11 -ED

Dang...I don't know if it's cause I'm not yet acclimated to the colder weather or I'm just plain getin older and can't find the joy in freezin my arse off. It's been in the mid 40's and crappy out. Average temp this time of year is mid 50's. WTF!!

Older works for me, the cold weather can give me nice leg cramps that is why the L J they do help. Low 40's make short trips more likely. But I love the feeling of riding, it is true that the biting cold dose take some of the joy out of the ride.

I usually ride into the new year depending on the roads. This year got cold quick and I am rethinking that idea. I bought a pair of ski pants that i'll have to try out on a cold morning.

Sky pants work well as long as you keep them away from your pipes.
