Michelin Commander II on aV2k

What tire sizes for front and rear that I can put on my 07 V2K? Michelin don't seem to have both tire sizes. Great reviews on this tire and would like to try them on my bike.

I see they have a 200/55 size. I'm not sure if you could run that or not. I'll google around and see what I can come up with.

I don't know how you feel about Metzler. But the ME 880 comes in your stock size, and it seems like the reviews are good. One said he typically gets about 12,000 miles out of them. another said 15. That would be comparable.

Metzler's was a consideration but MC II's looked like the best. Also looking at Avon Cobras. Just not sure anymore. Want to stay stock size for now. Just got the bike.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I have a vulcan 900 that I just put my first set of new tires on after buying it used. I like the Michelin Commanders just from riding it home from the shop. But time will tell. I tried to see what I could find. Not much info out there on different tires for the 2k

Indy.. no matter what tire you choose you will not get much milleage out to the rear on a VN2000. 5-6000 is about average.
I have tried 4 different tires on mine, and Bridgestones Exedra Max did the best, and it was the better price.
Avon Cobras work well on the front of mine.
I have been darkside on the rear for 3 years, so my rear tire wear woes are over..

Indy,

I agree with Pearhead. I also have gone darkside and never looked back. I also have taken a MC II rear tire and put it on the front and gotten about 18000 out of it. If you would like to try the darkside I am sure there are a bunch of people on this site that can help you out.
