Slight squeak with extra weight

Hi

So i noticed a slight squeak coming from the front of the bike when i had a passenger on the other day. I was trying to pin-point its location but it was proving difficult. The noise isn't there when it's just me riding.

Any theories? I can't put my finger on it yet.

I had a look at the disc brakes and put marks around the disks with a marker pen, the span the wheel and saw some of the pen had been taken away. only a fractional amount though. Whats the correct separation for disk pads?

Matt

Probably isn't the brakes unless the noise happens while braking and the pads will be very close to rotor surface at all times so they can always make quick contact with disks.

Including the year, model and miles in this posting will help.
