new tires will make a huge difference. On my older Suzuki C90, i had to replace the front tire earlier this year (as it winds up just a few months before I sold it to get my Voyager). But what a big difference it made in the way the bike leaned and cornered.
The Voyager I just bought used only had 5000 miles on it, but the stock Bridgestone tires were already shot. Previous owner did not have them inflated correctly. Have the new front tire on yesterday, waiting on the order-snafu of shop to get the rear in. But again, a huge difference in handling with just the front. Can't wait to get the rear tire on next week (hopefully) then will be taking a few long haul trips and open the bike up for what it is designed to do.
I'm putting Commander II's on front and rear per recommendations I saw on this forum and advice of the shop. I have another post/reply about the tires on the group and will be posting my personal review of these tires once I have both on and break them in
