Metzler 880 tire wear

I run Metzler 880's on both front and back of my 2000 classic LT and have only been getting about 3000 miles out of them. They flatten out across the top of the tire. A lot quicker in the back but does it to both. I keep a constant pressure and add air when needed. Any ideas? Thanks

Lean harder in the corners? Take it easy on the throttle? I have them on my 800 classic and am seeing the same type of wear on the rear of it also, not so much on the front. Seem to be wearing faster than I was hoping for too, rear is just under 3/32 at about 6,000 miles, was getting around 16-18k out of Dunlop 402s.
