Vn1500

I just bought a 95 Vulcan 1500 and I'm loving it so far! Just one thing I noticed is that sometimes while upshifting, I hit neutral for a bit. Is there something wrong with my gearbox?

Talking

Its been a while but I think I remember a recall about the shift drum but I don't think the problem was a false neutral. Now that I plan to hang out in this forum I should hit up the old shop for all the Vulcan recalls and tech tips that I have long forgotten.

My 99 does this if I shift very softly. If I shift assertively it does not do it.

It's a very heavy box and requires a strong, definite shift. If you rush the shift you can easily mis-shift and get neutral. As you get used to the bike you'll do this less or not at all. But it's no sportbike, man.
