Question "Choke" on a 1600 Classic?

Sorry if this has been asked and I just can't find the thread but....

My '04 1600 Classic has fuel injection right? I'm not dreaming THAT part I'm pretty sure....

SO, that said...

There's a little pull out knob down by the horn that's marked with the universal symbol for a choke...
And it pulls out like a choke....

But what does it DO?

I believe it's an enricher, which has a similar effect as a choke, with reduces the air intake. Of course, this is only what I recall. Others will likely be able to give you better information.

I think it just raises the idle speed, but I'm not 100% certain.

I just used mine for the first time a few weeks ago.Couldn't get it pulled out before, but then I tried holding the throttle open slightly with one hand while pulling it out with the other

Made it idle faster is all as far as I can tell

Not an "enricher", but raises the idle speed just like your lawnmower.

You have 'cold start solenoids' under the left side dog bowl, the choke isn't really a choke.

2004 1600 Classic, hard bags, trunk, lots of chrome doodads
