Front brake pad question

Looking at installing new front pads-EBC more specifically. Can someone pls confirm part no FA231HH for the front- are the left and right pads the same ? I noticed when checking the front pads/calipers that there is no little clip on either of the calipers. I did have this clip on the Vulcan Classic ( the clip that slides through a small hole on the non threaded pin) Is it missing on my bike ? is this clip of any great significance ?
EBC's are pretty pricey here- anyone perhaps recommend a good cheaper alternative ?
Thanks

The left and right pads are not the same. They look the same but like hands you have a left and right. I use stock pads, 43082-0061 and 43082-0062. I do not know about a clip but there is a Spring Stopper kinda behind one pad guess you maybe talking about that. If you go here: 2007 Kawasaki VULCAN 1600 NOMAD (VN1600D7F) Front Brake | Babbitts Kawasaki Partshouse it is part 92144 A/B. Good luck.

07, Nomad, Fairing, 4 speakers, AM/FM USB/GPS, Cell holder/charger, Throttle lock, 13" Handlebars/Grips, Head Light Modulator, 1 off seat w/backrest, V and H pipes, Intake K and N 9" filters, Cobra FI Processor, Side rails on bags, leather covers w/pockets on rear bag guards. Sometimes have Rear trunk on 1 off rack or bag in place of rear seat, Foot pegs, hard 1 off lowers on engine guard, Wolo horn, fork lowers. Black with some chrome.
