Stripped Radiator Drain Plug

I just bought a 2003 1600. The radiator drain plug was stripped out it has been resealed with some type of goop that is holding for now. Does anyone know if an oversize drain plug like for stripped oil pans would work or would a helicoil be better? What is the stock plug size?

Find out the next pipe thread size up and get a tap and new plug then re-tap it out to the next larger size if there is enough metal there to do it. It may be brass then you could solder a new bung into the bottom for a new plug too. Never really looked close at the one on my 1600 so I am not sure what you would need to do to get it fixed the best way.
