Looking for "passenger grab bars" for VN2000

I'm trying to find passenger grab bars for my wife. This is something she really wants to allow her to sit back for a better ride/view without having to hold on to me. I've been searching but haven't found a good site. Yes, she has a back rest. No, she doesn't want to hold on to me. Just looking for a site with something like this ( down below I linked something we want) that will fit a Vulcan 2000.

Thanks for the help.
I have never bought aftermarket parts for a bike in all my riding so I'm just unsure if all assessories fit all bikes or if they part has to say, "will fit your bike". Thanks all!

Hi Parker It is hard to find some aftermarket stuff for the V2Ks. Weren't a real popular bike due to size but there are some manufacturer/retailers that have "custom" items. I was able to find lots of stuff for my V2K at JP Cycles. You may have to get an older catalogue to find the parts and then have a more informed part number/description etc. The other option is to find HD stuff and then modify it. I have modified HD windshield mounts and chrome lowers from a Soft-tail classic for eg. My wife wanted a tour trunk so I bought one with armrests on it. I have seen aftermarket grips at Custom World as well, but I haven't seen any of their ads lately.. My brother has a newer dressed out Nomad with handrails that look like they may match up with the mounting brackets on the rear fender but you would have to find someone with the Nomad to measure. Gotta be creative lol If you can get Smedlin to respond....

huge help Danad! Thank you. Can you send a picture of your back seat? Wife wants the same thing for later on. She wants a couch/lazyboy as a back seat. In return... she surprised
me with the V2k lol. I think the trade off was worth.

I will attach a couple of photos of the trunk on my V2K. I got it from Scootworks some years ago. It was the largest one that I could find at the time lol.... gotta keep the 2up happy! I was a very large load then and she wasn't exactly a ballerina so I had to modify the brackets slightly to move the trunk back another 6 inches to make for more room for me and the missus. Happy to say now that we have lost a collective 120lbs so there is a big air gap between us now lol...

Looking at the bike pics in my file is making me sad today Temp this morning was -25C, or about -20F..... we got 16" of snow on top of an ice layer on the roads so travel is challenging without 4wd lol. April is coming....

That is a massive cargo you got going on. I love the 125ci plate. I saw one for $400 online. I want to get it but not for that much. Nice ride.

It's starting to show its age now, lots of miles on crappy roads (north western Canada lol) but it still runs well... I put a Mustang seat combination on my bike and got the wider passenger pad for my wife. I also put Custom World passenger floorboards on and then lowered them so that she could stretch her legs a bit more.. I have been looking for a batwing fairing that will fit the big nacelle but the money they ask for them is daunting.. Thinking about triking it now as well as olde age has been sneaking up on me lol. I initially bought the V2K because of the GVW capability but the deep torque and large hp kept me on this ride..

Just getting back to the swing of things here at the forum, found your thread.

I looked for grab bars for my V2K for a long while, the wife never really asked for them (maybe she never even knew such a thing existed) and the only one I had found was basically a round pipe bended in a way that served as a grab bar but it wasn't much to look at, it had proper attachment points for the fender bolt and for the sissy bar but what I really liked was the design of the Kawi Nomad back rest and grab bars, now those are absolutely great looking.

One day I was browsing trough e-bay looking for a pair of passenger floorboards for my brother's 1600 and I found a guy selling parts from his Nomad, it included the stock floorboards but he was also selling the rear seat, backrest and stock sissy bars that have grab rails integrated on them (I almost... almost bought a nomad instead of a V2K just 'cus I like that design so much) and I decided to buy'em thinking I would somehow adapt them to my Beast.

I was absolutely surprised to find out the holes matched exactly and it bolted right on, the widht of the seat is not the same as is not the width of the fender so attaching the backrest needed some doing, cutting a bit and welding a bit, but the result was just what I was looking for.

As soon as I get home I'll add some pix for you to see if this would work for you.

Pix loaded, first 3 are from when I did the mod, on the 3rd one you can see a black section on the backrest support where I had to cut a bit of the pipe so it would bend inward and the welded the cut. I put some black paint to cover the weld and it looks like it has a black tape on.

Last 2 pix are from the last trip, not super clear from far but you can see the Nomad grab rails right there.

I have a set of Grab bars if you are still looking, they are Kawasaki and had purchased them as a spare before I modified mine. Let me know if you are still looking and I can send you a picture.
