New bars, wiring problem?

Put new handlebars from Flanders on. More pullback. Everything but the headlights are working. I guess I pulled a little to hard on the wiring to attach to new bars. I have a wiring diagram from cd and it doesn't make sense to me...lol I am trying to find out which wire is hot going to the headlights. To the switch and then to the headlight itself. There are y/blk and blk/red and such. It doesn't show a ground connection and that is what confuses me. Don't know which is hot or what? Thanks. 2004 vn2K if that helps. I did check the switch and the three wires are still attached inside. I assume the power goes to the switch and then to the headlights? Checked connectors inside the H.L. bucket and they are attached firmly. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, gary
