stock handlebars

what is the rise on stock handlebars? I was thinking of getting 10" mini apes but the bars I have now have a rise of almost 10" already. Not sure is PO changed them or not.

I THINK mine re 10" mini apes.

it's been a while (5 or 6 years) since I put them on.

I think I have a thread here somewhere.

Not sure what is the technical rise number for the stock bar but, as installed, there is practically no rise at the hand grips relative to the bar clamp/mount.

The stock bars maybe could be tilted up more but even then it wouldn't be close to what smedlin shows.

Here is a pic of my LT Classic without the windshield installed. Bars are stock and in the as-received position.

I ran the wiring through the bars, which meant I had to cut/splice them.

Cables are a couple inches longer, don't remember exact.

For some reason I was thinking stock is an 8" rise. I keep thinking I read it somewhere but for the life of me I can not remember where. I also think I measured mine many moons ago and 8" sounds right. LOL I will throw a tape on them tomorrow and get back with you.
