I came from a Nomad to the VN2000. Hold on tight and enjoy the ride ;-).
The Beast likes to eat rear tires for breakfast. Many have gone darkside others have found longer lasting tires.
Oil often used is Rotella T6 with Purolator PL14610 filter, everyone has an opinion.
Quick mods are secondary butterfly removal, resistor mod, and most impressive is EuroGears (won't feel you need a 6th gear).
If you hear a rattle it may be the headlight housing, add a little silicone or a piece of gasket to fix. If you hear a whine from the lower left, adjust belt tension. 4th notch on the swingarm markings works best.
Enjoy the miles of smiles.

Beautiful ride. The rear bars are not common for the V2K. However, there is someone in eBay selling them, along with their version of Lindby ey bars.

Man how I wish they would! It would be the only reason I would consider giving up my '06.
