Were you a dirt rider first?

I cut my teeth on Mini bikes, 3 wheelers and dirt bikes before riding street bikes.

How about you?

Thats what I grew up on! The whole street bike thing didn't happen for me until about 3 years ago. It's a lot different but definately helps to already be comfortable on a bike. I love my Vulcan it was supposed to be a stepping stone to getting a Harley but I like it so much I may just upgrade to a bigger Vulcan instead of the Harley ( a lot less headaches I hear from harley riders it sounds like)

Life's a ride do it on a Vulcan!!

Yep, we lived on a dirt road in north county San Diego back when it was still open country. We rode tube frame mini bikes with 5 hp engines and no safety gear. Sometimes not even shoes. The brake was just a foot lever that pushed a strip of metal against the back tire.

The fun days of no suspension but you fell easier cuz you were closer to the ground
