Red face Suspension question

I need to know what tools are needed to tighten the suspension on my 2008 Vulcan 900 custom. Can you only use a hook wrench, or can you use another tool? My suspension is too lose and my saddlebag rack hits the chain guard.
thanks!

There are 2 hook wrenches which come with the bike tool set. one of them will fit !

I'm having a slight problem with terminology. Are you shocks actually loose and rattling around, or do you feel they're too soft and compressing too far?

It is not rattling...it is too loose and compresses too far on bumpy pavement.

if you don't have the wrench - maybe a forum member lives nearby and has the tools ...

if not - get a wrench in a tool shop or bring the bike to the dealer and ask for the wrench and do it yourself (saves some money and it's easy to do - remove the left side cover, unlock the the coolant reservoir for easier access and your done !! the higher the number the harder the setting)

Cheers
