Hi guys, I am a happy 2010 Nomad owner, but I must say that I like the look of the newer model's longer exhaust tips that reach past the bags. My question would be does anyone know if they are interchangeable with the short slash cuts that came with my 2010 Nomad?
It is just a matter of my personal preference to the newer design.
Thanks, Eric

It is my understanding that the later mufflers are not only longer, but they are quieter too!
Most 1700 owners would seem to prefer the older versions.
My 2010 pipes are quite loud. They do get louder as the miles build up without any modification. At 36,000 miles they have a nice deep sound, without being obnoxious.

Was considering replacing my stock slash cuts for the 2011 muffs after my accident but at around $1300 for the set I decided to go with the cheaper aftermarket alternative instead. Now hopefully my louder exhaust note will prevent other mini-vans from running me off the road again.

$1300 for the mufflers? That's insane, just like all of Kawasaki's accessory prices.
Looks like that idea is doa!
Yup but it worked out in my favor this time cause when I got the insurance check for the one damaged stock muffler (over $600) I had more then enough to buy a set of Cobra Tri-Ovals or most any other aftermarket mufflers I might have preferred.
