led bulb conversion...

Some time ago I made my own light bar using what i believe are bikers choice spotlights (ebay). I've had zero issues but am thinking about trying to save a bit of power and change the bulbs to led having a very hard time finding any reviews for this. the bulbs are h1. any thoughts? has anyone converted their headlight to led? I know there are a lot who go HID with the main light but I thought that would draw more power...

i out the LED bul in my headlight and i don't like it, all it does is that it makes white instead of yellow but it's not any brighter

HID's actually use less juice once lit than a halogen bulb. HID's don't have a filament, a striker lights the gas. Supposedly they use less power and run cooler than a comparable halogen unit. IIRC a HID pulls 35w compared to the usual 55w. I've never seen a LED that will put out any comparable light to a halogen or HID. IMO you'd have to use so many that the power savings would be negated. Just my .02.
