Default Pro's and Con's On tires

Curious pro's and con's on large rim skinny tire vs small rim wide tire.

Besides the obvious looks, the biggest thing I would say is the fatter tire would be less apt to follow grooves in the pavement. A fatter tire has more contact patch with the road, better traction. Smoother ride due to the taller sidewall of a fattter tire. The thinner tire I believe is easier to turn. I have never rode a bike with the tall, thin tire for any length of time, just quick test rides on friends bikes after tire changes and such. These are just my opions.

yeah kinda what I thought. I prefer shorter fatter tire etc but have a tall skinny rim laying around dont wanna waste it and project underway was thinking about putting it to use

I ride a suzuki intruder which has tall skinny tires, easier to lean bike over and yes they do fall into ruts lot easier .Are we talking front or rear?
Now ride classic 1500 and must say alot more stable in corners and alot more confidence but then again totally different bikes too
