What type of bars do you have now? Are you looking for drag bars or what type are you looking for? Don't understand too well based on your description but Google motorcycle handlebars vulcan 800 classic, click Shopping and you get the following results to begin your search:
Stock bars.... I want something a little hgher and where my hands would be further out a little, like drag bars or so im told.... And keeping stock cables and controls

There are parts for sale in Classifieds and a Part It Forward section that members give parts away or for exchange for something else like the Pay It Forward concept. I'd try eBay also since there are some good bike salvage vendors on there. Let us know how you do.

I went with 6inch risers off of ebay, found out when i got them they have 1/2inch x 13 thread bolts i had to drill upper triple tree to 1/2 inch for Harley riser bolts bolted on 32inch wide drag bars, RE-Routed cables around forks. everything was just long enough. thats as high as i could go or i would have to buy throttle x clutch cables.

Here's what you need, HD Heritage Classic bars. I had 'em on 3 of my past bikes and they were perfect.
The Suzuki C50 bars are 2 inches wider than the VN800B bars. You can rotate them to get the position that you want but they are wider. They are 1" bars.
Depends on what you are looking for looks wise. keeping it classic and somewhat stock, then 74 riders suggestion would be a great fit. if you want a more custom pro steet style, then risers and drag or broomstick bars would be good. If going for more of a bobbed look, I am diggin the hollywood bars.
Its about what you are looking for looks wise and feel wise. good thing is that most bolt on accessories from any bike will work with some thinking beside actual chasis or motor parts.
