My favorite which is my current seat is the Mustang 2 pc wide touring seat. I replaced the stock seat with a mustang fastback which was a little better than the stock POS but it doesn't come close to the wide touring. I Can ride all day with no squirming or sores.
They are expensive but well worth it for comfort.
I use the Mustang 2pc wide touring on mine. Sets a bit lower and farther back, but dont make any difference to ground reach due to being a little wider. My passenger loves it, good for me. With being a 2pc., you can go solo with it as well. Like getting 2 seats for the price of one. No regrets for me.
+1 Mustang wide touring 2pc seat, mine has the back rest. It changed my posture from the stock seat and I love it. I've read on the fourm about having the stock seat reupholstered giving you a custom seat, not sure of the cost. If you can I suggest trying a shop or bike show where you may be able to test out different seats. If you don't want to wait I hear Mustang will give you thirty days for exchanges. You can find them on ebay too good luck.
I have a mustang 1 pc wide touring that needs some repair. The fiberglass seat pan was broken/cracked but the seat is still together, the cover has some road rash, it also needs a rear mount tab. If you're handy it is fixable. I picked it up on ebay with the idea of repairing it and a few days later found a 2pc in perfect condition at a price I couldn't pass up. If anyone is interested shoot me a pm.
has anyone tried the mustang daytripper? im wondering if it would set me further back from the forward controls but dont want to sacrifice comfort. anything has to be better then stock or i may be wrong
