AGGH - its too soon for snow

So I got my bike back from the shop today - turns out my regulator connections rusted out from rain and road grime. Took a short ride around town in 2C weather (about 35 F) and parked in the garage. 20 minutes later its snowing and that might have been my last ride (but I sure hope not). Last year in Manitoba I made it to November 29 before parking for the winter.

Your regulator connectors. Did you get a new unit or was it the connector ?
If it was the connector. What was the fix?

Unfortunately my regulator was in all probability perfectly good. One of the connecters was completely gone, no way to fix it dependably so I had to buy a new regulator. I live in a small town and the owner and the mechanic are both my neighbors and I can trust them. I saw the old unit and they did the right thing. Now if only the snow would melt...........

Luckly it wasn't the wiring harness connector part.
You can't just buy that on its own.
You need to get the whole main wiring harness or at least one of the two.
One is larger than the other. I'm not sure which one it is and its big bucks.

Going to winterize mine today and with your post I'm going to check mine out.
Hopefully its ok and I'll just slap on some dielectric grease on to give it some protection.

Well the snow finally melted - supposed to be about 4C (39F) tomorrow and some sunshine, after that the weather is supposed to go downhill with snow, wind, rain, slush, etc. Hopefully can get out for one last short ride, change oil and winterize and park the bike for winter
