I know this question has been covered many times, I am now fixing to buy one and would like to hear what everone has to say, and which one's the best for the best... I am running V&H Power Shots and also ordering the Baron Big Air kit....

So come on guys, lets hear what you have to say .....

i just recently put on my power commander and can tell a big difference with throttle response and backfire. I set the 0 throttle to 0 and the back fire is completely gone. Plus you can change maps and dyno it.

Best...well, that's always somewhat subjective. Probably the PC-V with Autotune is what I'd get. Certainly the most tunable/tweakable AFAIK.

Well it seems you can't buy the PC V for anything under an 09 for the V2k, so it looks like the PC III will be the winner..... I have an 07 ... has anyone heard if there is an over size cams out?

I have a pcIII on my black vn2000 with the program in it that came with the bike, it seems to run ok with the hypercharger and ness ground pounders,
We put a wiseco programmer on the blue bike I got last week. Added a hypercharger and cobra pipes, wheh it was all set up and the fuel was increased it runs real well.

I had a pcIII on a m109 that the dealer had installed and hooked up wrong after a year it totally destroyed the computer and pistons. So pay attention when hooking them up.

the vn2000 is easy to install just remove tank and plug in, i don't even think you can hook it up wrong because the connectors are different

Maybe the m109 is different... but how could they hook it up wrong??? With the V2k, it's plug and play.

The 2 main ones out "there" are the cobra and the power commander.

The cobra is much cheaper, but it's not fine tunable. There are some switches you can flip for more gas or less gas.

The PC is much expensive, but you can fine tune it with a dyno.

It's kind of cool to hook the pc3 up to my laptop and see the programs run. You can see/learn a lot about your engine doing that.

plus with the PCIII like smed said you can set your idle to 950 where it should be because you can see it while its running
