If you search on this forum and thru youtube you'll find videos of what SteveJB talks about. They mounted cameras to the bottoms of bikes facing back to show what it looks like at speed in corners.

I believe the greatest con that I've been able to find on going darkside is that car tire manufacturers cannot be held liable should the tire fail on a bike because they are not designed for our bikes.

While I do want the tire to look cool, I prefer that it look closer to a motorcycle tire, it have longevity, it fits well on stock rim, and handles nicely. Thanks for the pic and let us know your thoughts on your tire.

What size ct are you using, what kind and how much did it cost vs. a normal scoot tire?

Same question; size and type of question and cost? And what are your two cents about the effect the CT has had on handling?

Both are GENERAL ALTIMAX HP 195/65-15 as is mine and many many others, this is the most used tire for our bike because it fits with no problems and last like iron. There is now an RT version which is asymmetric tread. Like most riders, if the tire is still on the bike they love it. The tire is just a superior ride and handles better than the MC tire.

CT 65-80 Dollars, MCT 180 dollars, cost the same to mount both.
So far I have skipped 2 new tire mounts and looking forward to skipping many more.

There are other tire's used that have been proven to have the characteristics we need in a rear tire. Flexible sidewall being the most important.

Daboo, the avon 230 you posted pics of is the tire i just put on mine (with 2" lowering kit, looks sooo much better than stock). I have read on the forums that folks are getting between 20-30,000 miles out of them.

Heck, for 65-80 bucks, I might as well try one. Worst case senario, I ride it for a month and switch it out. I'm actually trying to sell my 900, but I'm not going to give it away so it might be around until next summer.
