Well, I got to tell you , don,t know if mine is different or not ,but the 8mm will not go near it . too big . . I bought an 8mm tap and it would not even start in the threads . I am going to try a 6mm to see how that does .

It's a 6x1.0x14mm flanged chrome plated bolt. But a button-head stainless bolt would look good there too.
Take off the small (8mm) bolt from the back of the seat and pull backwards on the seat. It can take some force.
I have removed the bolt, and have pulled backward with some force, but no luck. Anybody got any tips??? I am trying to remove the seat, and having a very difficult time :-(
Pull harder. It is tight fit. Just wait. Putting it back on is just as much fun. Only in reverse. I stand directly behind mine, and pull firmly rearward, and maybe a little downward, using both hands. Good Luck.

Thanks
I can move it side to side so I felt like WD40 wasn't needed. I have pulled pretty hard backward, matter of fact I was afraid I was going to knock the bike down since I pulled so hard. Will give it round 2,round 1 went to the bike.
